Black Orc
Tier 2About
The Black Orc team is a study in brute simplicity. Six Black Orc positionals -- each starting at ST4, AV10+, and armed with Grab and Brawler -- form one of the most intimidating front lines in all of Blood Bowl. When this wall of muscle lines up on the scrimmage, opposing coaches know their linemen are in for a very long and very painful afternoon. The Trained Troll adds even more beef to an already terrifying lineup.
The trade-off for all that muscle is speed, or rather the complete absence of it. At MA4, the Black Orcs are among the slowest positionals in the game. They rely on Goblin Bruiser Linemen to handle the ball, and those little greenskins come with all the fragility you would expect from a Stunty player. The disconnect between the team's hitting power and its ball-handling ability is the central tension every Black Orc coach must navigate.
Despite their limitations, the Black Orcs are devastatingly effective at what they do. They grind, they bash, and they slowly march down the pitch, removing opposing players one block at a time. In a league environment where teams develop over multiple games, a fully skilled-up Black Orc line with Guard and Mighty Blow becomes a nightmare that few teams can withstand for a full game.

Strengths
- Six ST4 AV10+ positionals create one of the hardest-hitting front lines in the game
- Grab on all Black Orcs allows precise repositioning of opponents during blocks
- Brawler skill means Black Orcs rarely waste blocks on Both Down results
- Cheap Goblin linemen at 45k allow spending treasury on rerolls and the Troll
Weaknesses
- MA4 on all Black Orcs makes the team painfully slow and easy to outrun
- Ball handling depends entirely on fragile Goblin Bruisers with AG3+ and Stunty
- No agility or passing skills anywhere on the starting roster
- Trained Troll suffers from Really Stupid, which can ruin critical turns
Tips & Strategy
- Use Grab strategically to pull opponents out of position rather than just pushing them back
- Protect your ball-carrying Goblin with a tight cage of Black Orcs moving down the pitch
- Prioritize Guard as the first skill-up on your Black Orcs to dominate the line of scrimmage
- Accept that you will score slowly and focus on removing opposing players before advancing
