Chaos Renegade
Tier 2About
The Chaos Renegades are Blood Bowl's team of misfits, a motley collection of outcasts drawn from every corner of the Old World and bound together by their shared devotion to the dark gods. The roster reads like a who's who of Blood Bowl's strangest bedfellows: human Renegade Marauders form the backbone, supplemented by one each of a Dark Elf, Goblin, Orc, and Skaven. Then there are up to three big guys -- a Minotaur, an Ogre, and a Troll -- all sharing the pitch in a glorious display of chaotic muscle.
What makes the Chaos Renegades truly special is their flexibility and development potential. Renegade Marauders have access to Mutations on primary, allowing them to develop into genuinely terrifying players over the course of a league. Combined with the natural strengths of each specialist -- the Dark Elf's agility, the Orc's toughness, the Skaven's speed, and the Goblin's Secret Weapon access -- the Renegades can adapt to almost any situation. Three big guys on one roster is a rarity in Blood Bowl, and when all three are on the pitch and cooperating, the hitting power is immense.
The flip side of all this diversity is chaos -- and not the fun kind. Every big guy comes with Loner 4+, making team rerolls unreliable when you need them most. Animosity creates friction between the various races, and the lack of natural skills on Renegade linemen means the team starts slow and needs time to develop. Coaching the Chaos Renegades is a long-term investment, but for those with the patience to develop their roster, the payoff is a team that can do almost anything.

Strengths
- Up to three big guys (Minotaur, Ogre, Troll) provide massive hitting power on the line
- Mutation access on primary for Renegade Marauders enables powerful long-term development
- Diverse roster brings specialist strengths from multiple races -- speed, agility, toughness, and tricks
- Renegade linemen with AV9+ are surprisingly durable for a team with Mutation access
Weaknesses
- All three big guys have Loner 4+, making team rerolls unreliable on your most important players
- Animosity between races causes occasional failed actions at the worst possible times
- Renegade Marauders start with no skills at all, requiring significant development investment
- Roster diversity means no position has depth -- losing a specialist is a serious blow
Tips & Strategy
- Invest early in Block and Guard on your Renegade Marauders to give the team a functional baseline
- Use Mutations strategically -- Claw on a Marauder creates a deadly blitzer, while Extra Arms helps ball security
- Keep dedicated rerolls high since Loner 4+ on big guys means you cannot rely on team rerolls for them
- Protect your single-position specialists; the Dark Elf and Skaven are irreplaceable sources of agility and speed
