Dark Elf
Tier 1About
The Dark Elves are the most balanced and versatile of the elven teams in Blood Bowl. Where High Elves specialise in passing and Wood Elves in raw speed, the Dark Elves blend both with a willingness to get their hands dirty that their cousins would find distasteful. Every positional on the roster moves at MA7 with AG2+, and the linemen are no slouches at MA6 and AG2+ themselves. This is a team that can score from anywhere on the pitch at almost any time.
What truly sets the Dark Elves apart is the diversity of their positionals. Witch Elves bring Dodge, Frenzy, and Jump Up -- a combination that makes them lethal blitzers who bounce back from knockdowns instantly. Assassins lurk on the fringes with Shadowing and Stab, threatening to bypass armour entirely and eliminate key opposing players. The Blitzers provide reliable Block, and Runners handle the ball with Dump-off for safety. No other elf team offers this range of tactical options.
The price of this versatility is fragility. Dark Elf positionals are expensive, and with AV8+ on Runners, Assassins, and Witch Elves, one bad hit can put a 90-110k player in the casualty box. Dark Elf coaches must master the art of calculated aggression -- striking hard with Witch Elves and Assassins while never leaving themselves exposed to the kind of grinding attrition that heavier teams thrive on.

Strengths
- AG2+ across the entire roster makes ball handling and dodging extremely reliable
- All four positional types move at MA7, giving the team outstanding speed
- Witch Elves with Dodge, Frenzy, and Jump Up are among the best blitzers in the game
- Assassins with Stab can bypass high armour to threaten even the toughest opponents
Weaknesses
- AV8+ on key positionals means injuries are frequent against bashy teams
- Expensive roster with positionals costing 90-110k each limits bench depth
- Witch Elves with Frenzy can be baited into overextending or crowd-surfing themselves
- No Big Guy option means the team lacks any ST4+ presence on the pitch
Tips & Strategy
- Use Witch Elves for blitzing, not blocking on the line -- their Frenzy is wasted in traffic
- Position Assassins where they can threaten Stab attacks on high-value targets like opposing ball carriers
- Keep your Runners deep and use Dump-off to punish opponents who blitz your ball carrier
- Prioritize Side Step or Dodge on Blitzers to make them even harder to pin down
