High Elf 2026
Tier 1About
The High Elf 2026 roster is the Asur reborn for Blood Bowl Season 3. Where the classic High Elf squad leaned on Catchers and a careful aerial game, this new incarnation drops the Catcher entirely and rebuilds around two distinct Blitzer castes drawn from the great martial traditions of Ulthuan. The White Lions of Chrace bring savage close combat to a team that used to fight only when cornered, while the Dragon Princes of Caledor charge in armoured to the teeth, fast enough to threaten the end zone on their own. The Phoenix Warriors stand at the heart of the team, half thrower and half guardian.
Mechanically the team trades pure passing finesse for a far harder edge. Phoenix Warriors hit the pitch with Cloud Burster, Pass and Safe Pass, turning every throw into a calculated act and every enemy throw into a hazard. White Lion Blitzers wield Claws and Wrestle on MA7 AV9+ frames, punishing armoured opponents that thought elves were soft targets. Dragon Princes come fully drilled with Block, My Ball and Steady Footing, a combination of skills no other elven kingdom team enjoys from the first turn.
Coaching the 2026 list is a different challenge. The toolkit favours coaches who relish positional discipline: own the line of scrimmage with the White Lions, contest every loose ball with the Dragon Princes, and use the Phoenix Warriors as both quarterback and aerial denial unit. The classic High Elf roster (id 24) remains available alongside this one, so leagues already in motion keep their snapshots intact while fresh seasons can pick the new edition.

Strengths
- Dragon Princes arrive with Block already learned, a rare luxury on an Elf positional
- Phoenix Warriors bring Cloud Burster to shut down enemy throwing and Throw Team-mate plays
- Two distinct Blitzer roles cleanly separate line-hitting (White Lion) from ball recovery (Dragon Prince)
- AV9+ across the entire roster is the most durable elven kingdom team on the pitch
Weaknesses
- No dedicated Catcher position narrows the team's scoring routes through the air
- Only six positional slots in total (two of each); a single serious injury cripples the gameplan
- AV9+ still falls behind dwarves and orcs in a sustained grind, especially without Block on the Linemen
- Premium pricing on positionals (110k Blitzers, 90k Thrower) keeps team value growth slow in early league play
Tips & Strategy
- Use the Phoenix Warrior's Cloud Burster to ground rival aerial threats before they can complete the pass
- Lead defensive turns with the Dragon Prince's My Ball to contest loose balls and turn pickups into a coin flip in your favour
- Pair White Lions for cage breaks; Claws and Wrestle on MA7 AV9+ punishes any armoured target the opposition stacks against you
- Steady Footing on the Dragon Prince ignores Defensive Stance and dodge tackles -- use him as your blitzer of last resort
- Develop Sidestep or Guard on a few Linemen early; with only six positionals you can't expect them to anchor the line alone
