The Lizardmen are one of Blood Bowl's most distinctive rosters, built around a dramatic split between two very different types of player. On one hand, you have the Skinks -- lightning-fast MA8 ball carriers with Dodge and Stunty who can slip through the smallest gaps in a defence. On the other, the Saurus Warriors -- towering ST4, AV10+ walls of scaled muscle who hit like a freight train and can absorb punishment that would destroy lesser players.
This duality gives the Lizardmen remarkable tactical flexibility. The Saurus form an almost impenetrable cage or screen while the Skinks dart around the edges, collecting the ball and racing for the end zone. Chameleon Skinks add another dimension with Shadowing and On the Ball, making them excellent at disrupting the opponent's plans. And anchoring the whole operation is the mighty Kroxigor, a ST5 monster with Mighty Blow +1 and Prehensile Tail who can lock down a section of the pitch single-handedly.
The challenge of coaching Lizardmen lies in managing the gap between your player types. Skinks are fast but fragile and will die in droves if left exposed. Saurus are tough but slow and lack agility skills, making them clumsy with the ball. Success requires using each type in its ideal role -- Saurus to control the line of scrimmage and create space, Skinks to exploit that space and score. When the two halves work in harmony, the Lizardmen are one of the most formidable teams in the game.

Strengths
- Excellent speed-strength split with MA8 Skinks and ST4 AV10+ Saurus
- Kroxigor provides a dominant ST5 presence with Mighty Blow +1 and Prehensile Tail
- Chameleon Skinks with Shadowing and On the Ball are elite disruptors
- Saurus form one of the toughest front lines in the game at AV10+
Weaknesses
- Skinks are extremely fragile with low armour and Stunty making them casualty magnets
- Saurus have no agility or passing skills, making ball handling with them very risky
- Kroxigor suffers from Bone Head and Loner 4+, making him occasionally unreliable
- The team struggles to develop skills on Saurus due to limited SPP earning opportunities
Tips & Strategy
- Use Saurus to form a wall and create safe corridors for Skinks to run through
- Protect your Skinks at all costs -- they are your only reliable ball handlers and scorers
- Develop Block on Saurus as a first skill to dramatically improve their hitting power
- Use the Kroxigor's Prehensile Tail to lock down key opposing players near the line of scrimmage
