Norse
Tier 1About
The Norse are Blood Bowl's quintessential brawlers -- a team of hard-drinking, hard-hitting warriors from the frozen north who treat every match as both a sporting event and a bar fight. Their roster is packed with players who come equipped with Block as standard, making them one of the most reliable blocking teams from the very first match. When the Norse line up for kick-off, the opposition knows it is in for a bruising afternoon.
What makes the Norse particularly dangerous is their combination of hitting power and surprising speed. Unlike most bashy teams, the Norse are not slow. Their Berserkers bring Frenzy and Block to the table, their Valkyries add genuine pace and agility, and their Beer Boar provides a unique and entertaining support piece. Even the linemen are competent fighters thanks to their starting Block skill.
The downside is that Norse players are made of glass. With only AV8+ across most of the roster, they give as good as they get -- and sometimes get far worse. A bad run of armour rolls can decimate a Norse squad in short order. Successful Norse coaches learn to hit first, hit hard, and hope their players are still standing at the final whistle.

Strengths
- Nearly every player starts with Block, making them immediately effective
- Good movement values for a bashy team -- not slow at all
- Valkyries provide genuine speed and ball-handling ability
- Berserkers with Frenzy and Block are excellent at crowd surfing
- Strong early-season performance before other teams develop skills
Weaknesses
- Low armour (AV8+) makes the team extremely fragile
- Attrition hits Norse harder than most teams over a league season
- Frenzy on Berserkers can be exploited by savvy opponents
- Limited access to strength skills on primary for most positionals
- Performance tends to decline in longer leagues as casualties mount
Tips & Strategy
- Hit first and hit often -- your best defence is removing opposing players before they hit you
- Keep your Valkyries safe; they are your primary scoring threat and hard to replace
- Use Berserker Frenzy near the sidelines to maximise crowd pushes
- Invest in the apothecary immediately and use it wisely on key positionals
- Develop Mighty Blow on linemen to increase your casualty output and offset fragility
