Orc
Tier 2About
The Orcs are the quintessential Blood Bowl team, a roster that perfectly embodies the sport's blend of brutal violence and just enough strategy to keep things interesting. They hit hard, they can take a punch, and their Blitzers are fast enough to actually score touchdowns on a regular basis. There is a reason Orcs are recommended as one of the best teams for new coaches -- they do everything reasonably well and nothing catastrophically badly.
The core of the team is built around four Black Orc Blockers, Strength 4 walls of green muscle with AV10+ that form an almost impenetrable line of scrimmage. Behind them, the Orc Blitzers provide the speed and hitting power with Movement 6, Block, and AV10+, making them one of the best positional players in the game for their price. Throwers offer Sure Hands and Pass for when you need to move the ball through the air, and cheap Goblin linemen fill out the roster as expendable fodder. A Troll rounds out the team as the big guy option.
Coaching Orcs is about playing solid, fundamental Blood Bowl. You do not need to rely on tricks or gimmicks. Set up your Black Orcs on the line, blitz with your Blitzers, protect the ball carrier, and grind forward. The team is forgiving of mistakes and rewards coaches who focus on good positioning and smart target selection. Orcs may not be the flashiest team, but they are consistently competitive at every level of play.

Strengths
- Excellent armour across the roster with AV10+ on Blitzers and Black Orc Blockers
- Four Black Orc Blockers at ST4 create a dominant line of scrimmage
- Orc Blitzers with MA6 and Block are reliable, well-rounded positional players
- Cheap Goblin linemen and affordable rerolls (60k) make team-building flexible
Weaknesses
- Black Orc Blockers are slow at MA4 and start with no skills, requiring development time
- Limited agility and passing ability make the aerial game unreliable
- Goblin linemen are fragile and easily removed from the pitch
- Troll carries Really Stupid and Loner, making it an unreliable big guy option
Tips & Strategy
- Prioritise Block on Black Orc Blockers as their first skill -- it transforms them from mediocre to elite linemen
- Use Goblin linemen as sacrificial pieces on the line of scrimmage to protect your valuable positionals
- Develop Guard on at least two Black Orcs to create an unstoppable grinding cage
- Keep your Thrower safe behind the line and use short passes rather than risky long bombs
