Underworld Denizens
Tier 1About
The Underworld Denizens are Blood Bowl's most unlikely alliance, a team of Skaven and Goblins who have been forced to work together in the dark tunnels beneath the Old World. The result is a roster that combines the speed and agility of Skaven with the devious trickery of Goblins, all held together by mutual distrust and a shared love of cheating. It is a team that plays dirty, plays fast, and plays with a level of cunning that few opponents are prepared for.
The key feature that elevates the Underworld Denizens above their component parts is Mutation access. Skaven Blitzers and Throwers can take Mutations on primary skill access, opening up devastating combinations like Two Heads, Extra Arms, and Big Hand that other Skaven teams can only dream of. Add in Goblin Secret Weapons for extra mayhem and a Troll for Throw Team-Mate shenanigans, and you have a team with an enormous ceiling -- if you can manage the chaos.
The great weakness of the Underworld is Animosity. Goblins resent their Skaven teammates, and this friction manifests as failed hand-offs and unpredictable behaviour at the worst possible moments. Coaching this team means constantly managing the tension between your roster's incredible potential and its inherent instability. When everything clicks, the Underworld Denizens are a nightmare to face. When it doesn't, they tear themselves apart before the opposition even needs to lift a finger.

Strengths
- Mutation access on primary for Skaven Blitzers and Throwers enables powerful skill combinations
- Combines Skaven speed with Goblin Secret Weapon options for versatile offensive play
- Troll provides Throw Team-Mate for surprise scoring plays with Goblins
- Excellent development potential as Mutations stack to create uniquely skilled players
Weaknesses
- Animosity causes Goblins to sometimes refuse to cooperate with Skaven teammates at critical moments
- Low overall armour values make the team vulnerable to sustained physical punishment
- Troll with Really Stupid and Loner 4+ is unreliable as your only source of real strength
- Requires significant development time before Mutation combinations reach their full potential
Tips & Strategy
- Prioritize Mutation skills like Two Heads and Extra Arms on Blitzers to create dominant ball carriers
- Avoid handing off from Goblins to Skaven whenever possible to bypass Animosity rolls
- Use Goblin Secret Weapons in the first drive for maximum impact before they get sent off
- Develop your Skaven Thrower with Big Hand and Sure Hands to create a reliable ball retrieval specialist
